Andries Dirk Copier Art Glass Vase in Craquelé and Gold for Glasfabriek Leerdam 1938
This is a very beautiful art glass vase by famous Dutch glass artist Andries Dirk Copier, made for Glasfabriek Leerdam.
The vase shows a mesmerizing pattern of gold craquelé and has a lighter gold base color. Very elegant shape with the rim flowing outwards and a slightly pronounced foot. This series of vases and objects - called ‘Sonoor’ - was designed in 1938 by Copier, who was the premier glass artist from The Netherlands of the 20th Century.
Comes in a good vintage condition with some slight wear due to age and use - with one chip on the edge as can be seen in the photos.
